LIES FROM THE START
In the garden of Eden, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was not to be eaten because by eating it, Adam and Eve would be given the knowledge of good and evil.
We now know good from evil.
The foundation of our relationship with Yahweh is obedience. Love emanates from obedience.
We know the relationship Yahweh had with Adam and Eve was wonderful. If they would have obeyed, it would still be wonderful.
There was no mystery in the command Yahweh gave Adam and Eve.
The problem was that the serpent preached a lie to them, and they finally accepted Rev. Hasatan's alter call and were born again.
They didn't have to research anything. They only had to obey. The tickling of the ears started in the garden.
Why do we research and study scripture to the extent we do.
We have the commandments and the laws. We are to obey them, not search for hidden meanings and redefine them. Yahweh says we are to have no other gods besides him. That tells me exactly that, no other gods besides Yahweh.
When Yahweh says do not add or take away, that's exactly what it means.
The Torah is Yahweh's commandments and laws for mankind. We shouldn't read into it; they are very clear.
Acts 15 The Council at Jerusalem
15:1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
In Genesis 17:9-14
9 And God said to Abraam, thou also shalt fully keep my covenant, thou and thy seed after thee for their generations. 10 And this is the covenant which thou shalt fully keep between me and you, and between thy seed after thee for their generations; every male of you shall be circumcised. 11 And ye shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between me and you. 12 And the child of eight days old shall be circumcised by you, every male throughout your generations, and the servant born in the house and he that is bought with money, of every son of a stranger, who is not of thy seed. 13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with money shall be surely circumcised, and my covenant shall be on your flesh for an everlasting covenant. 14 And the uncircumcised male, who shall not be circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin on the eighth day, that soul shall be utterly destroyed from its family, for he has broken my covenant.
The men from Judaea were teaching the truth.
If their fathers would have been obedient and circumcised on the eighth day, there wouldn't be the stress and discomfort of getting circumcised. Everyone has the opportunity to become a child of Yahweh. It's not free.
Acts 15:2....
2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
Or redefine the law maybe?
I'm not seeing any communication with Yahweh. It looks like they're dealing with this one themselves.
Why didn't Paul and Barnabas read what Yahweh laid out in Genesis 17.
Paul and Barnabas did not have the authority to make that call. They were more interested in appeasing the people than obeying Yahweh's commandments and ordinances.
Paul and Barnabas did exactly what Hasatan did in the garden of Eden.
Genesis 3:5-7
5 And the serpent said to the woman, Ye shall not surely die. 6 For God knew that in whatever day ye should eat of it your eyes would be opened, and ye would be as gods, knowing good and evil. 7 And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes to look upon and beautiful to contemplate, and having taken of its fruit she ate, and she gave to her husband also with her, and they ate.
The parallel here is uncanny.
The reason so many marriages fail, is because there's no foundation or substance in the relationship, it's feelings and emotions.
The same, when there is an alter call or such, the feelings and emotions are intense, driving an individual to go beyond their normal realm. But what happens when opposition comes, and they lose their footing?
Often times, people long for that first emotional feeling whether it's, relationships, religion, drugs or whatever.
It's the dopamine that gives them the feeling of euphoria.
They lose direction and end up depressed or looking for something else to fill the lust for excitement.
If Paul a pillar in the New Testament got this wrong, what else is twisted and made up?
